Cinderella Castle
Tokyo Disneyland
Some color variations aside, Cinderella Castle in Tokyo is essentially a the twin sister of the same castle in the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, at least when it comes to the exterior. From the right angle you’d be hard pressed to be able to tell you weren’t in Florida.
There are some subtle but notable differences, however. In terms of its setting, Tokyo’s version is much more isolated and freestanding, allowing a full 360º view with no show buildings from Liberty Square or Fantasyland crowding it as in Florida. This allows some unique views that you couldn’t get otherwise. The left side of the castle features a version of Snow White’s Grotto from Disneyland in California (it is just out of the frame to the left).
On the inside the castle does not feature a restaurant but instead has a Cinderella walkthrough, similar in spirit to the Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough found in California, but done in a completely different style and featuring a tour guide.
